J. Allen Williamson, 86 of Lakeland, FL, passed away on Tuesday, September 30, 2025, at the Lakeland Hospice House while under the care of the Good Shepherd Hospice Allen was born on December 8, 1938, in Romney, WV, the son of the late Joseph A. Williamson and Gladys E. Haines Williamson. Allen was preceded in death by his first wife, Mary Lou Pitzer Williamson. He worked as a dedicated truck driver for Roadway Express in Hagerstown, MD, for 42 years. Allen proudly served his country as a United States Army Veteran. He was also a 60-year, 32nd Degree member of the Masonic Berkeley Lodge No. 37 in Hedgesville, WV, and a 50-year member of The Scottish Rite of Martinsburg. Outside of work and service, Allen enjoyed the outdoors and simple pleasures. He spent time hunting, camping, and working crossword puzzles, and he especially loved watching NASCAR races. Allen also cherished his retirement years in Lakeland, FL. Surviving are his wife, Renette; his sons, Blair Allen Williamson, P. Shawn Williamson and wife Beth all of Martinsburg, WV; his sister: Donna J. Fieth (Steve) of Fernandina Beach, FL and a granddaughter: Taylor Williamson. A celebration of Allen's life will be privately held on a future date to be determined.
