Joseph Yezic Obituary
Joseph John Yezic, 66, of Battle Creek, MI, passed away peacefully on August 18, 2025. Joseph was born on May 6, 1959, the son of Milan Yezic and Evelyn (Squires) Yezic in Battle Creek.
Joseph attended St. Jerome school and St. Philip Catholic Central. During his teen years Joseph worked in the commissary at Speed’s Coffee Shop. Joseph enjoyed working on cars and motorcycles. Joseph had a profound love for classic rock music.
Joseph is survived by sisters Myra Winslow, Celeste (Billy) Etheridge, Leandra (Jeff) Reitz, Jennifer Haan, Elizabeth Costin, Sabrina (Tommy) Gunning. He leaves behind a cherished family, including many nieces and nephews, several great nieces and nephews, and numerous cousins. Joseph’s memory will always live on in the hearts of those who loved him. Joseph was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Billy Yezic and brother-in-law Steve Winslow.
The family would like to thank the Laurels of Bedford and Heartland Hospice for their kindness and compassionate care they provided Joseph.
The family will receive friends 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, August 26 at Farley Estes Dowdle Funeral Home & Cremation Care. Interment will be at Floral Lawn Memorial Gardens at a later date. In lieu of flowers please consider making donations to Heartland Hospice, 8075 Creekside Dr., Suite 120, Portage, MI 49024 or a charity of one’s choice.
