Josephine Lazzara Burrows

Josephine Lazzara Burrows, 77, of Fountain Hills, passed away on June 27, 2023.
She is survived by her loving husband, Jerry Burrows; two sons: Edward Lazzara and his wife- Maura Lazzara, Paul Lazzara and his wife- Cynthia Lazzara; her daughter: Adrianna Salazar and her husband- Jeff Salazar; her stepson: Jason Burrows and his wife- Heather Burrows; her stepdaughter: Lydia Pennington and her husband- Gerald Pennington; her 9 grandchildren: Samantha Lazzara, Christopher "CJ" Lazzara, Annaliese Lazzara, Jonathan Burrows, Jannah Burrows, Olivia Burrows, Hazel Burrows, Collin Pennington, Ethan Pennington and her siblings: Vito Paravati, Teresa DiSalvo, Catherine DiSalvo, and Vera O'Loughlin.
Josephine was born in Calabria, Italy and came to the United States at the age of 9. She grew up in New York, raised her family in New Jersey and later made a life in Arizona. She made a living in child care and real estate.
Josephine dedicated her life to caring for others. She showered people with love in the form of food, humor, and service. If she wasn't traveling, she spent many of her hours cooking delicious food for loved ones. She loved to pick olives, watch hummingbirds and spend time with her family and friends. You were always welcome at Josephine's house.
A memorial service is planned at Messinger Fountain Hills Mortuary Tuesday, July 18, 2023 at 10 AM.
