It is with sad but peaceful hearts that we share the news of the passing of Josephine DiNatale (Nesta) age 95 of Brockport NY. She went to be rejoined with her beloved Sebastian on 1-1-2023. Josephine is survived by her children: Florene Bambino, Valerie and Michael Sarsfield, David and Judy DiNatale, Janet and John Meagher, Mark DiNatale. Grandchildren: Adam and Meghann Early-Sarsfield, Danielle DiNatale, Lauren and Steven Gelinas, Erika DiNatale and Jessica Hanson, Kara DiNatale, Patrick and Kaleigh Meagher, Benjamin and Nicholas DiNatale. Great-grandchildren: Kiarra and Riley Chirico, Mark Gelinas, Leonardo Sarsfield, Ian Gelinas; also survived by many beloved family and friends. Very special thanks to Dr. Jillian Moore and Dr. Michael Vornovitsky for their loving care. Also special thanks to Carol Rich her neighbor and private Eucharistic Minister. And a grateful thank you to her caregivers Jackie and Sherry for the loving care given to her.
She was a long time member of Holy Rosary Church in Rochester and Nativity BVM in Brockport, NY. She was honored to serve as a Eucharistic Minister for many years at both parishes. She was a member of the choir and Ladies Guild at Holy Rosary and enjoyed her annual retreats at Notre Dame. She enjoyed her monthly luncheons with her lady friends from Holy Rosary right up until 2 weeks before her passing. She left a trail of rosaries throughout her house. Her faith was strong! She enjoyed crocheting her potholders and blankets. She loved to cook and doing her puzzle books. She always said that no one should ever leave her house hungry and no one ever did!! Thank you for all the phone calls and cards she received weekly. She touched so many people and she loved you all. She loved making her holiday phone calls to her nieces and nephews that were also a big part of her life. Her main focus was her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She loved them beyond measure and they her. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her and loved her.
Services and interment will be private at the convenience of family. A memorial mass and Celebration of Life will be held in the Spring/Summer. Donations in her memory may be made to the charity of your choice. Smile and think of her when you use your potholders.
