Josephine Durham Eldridge

Josephine Durham Eldridge, 82, of Crab Orchard, KY passed away Sunday, January 4, 2026 at the Stanford Crossing Nursing Home. Josephine was born in Stanford on April 13, 1943, to the late Virgil Marion Durham and Sallie (Nichols) Durham. She worked many years at Palm Beach Clothing Company, and also spent many years as a cook. Josephine owned and operated Crab Orchard Restaurant from 1986 to 1990. She had previously attended Ephesus Baptist Church. She loved singing, with notable appearances at the Howard Theatre, opening for Loretta Lynn, Conway Twitty, and Jerry Lee Lewis. Josephine found great joy in cooking for her family. She loved and was thankful for her children and grandchildren.

Public visitation will be from 12:00 PM Noon until 2:00 PM funeral service time on Wednesday, January 7th, 2026 at McKnight Funeral Home
