Josephine Hahn

Josephine Hahn, 86, passed away peacefully surrounded by loving family on Tuesday, June 24, 2025 at Harrogate Health Center in Lakewood, NJ. Josephine was born on April 30, 1939 in Newark, and was raised in Union. After marrying her beloved husband, Dennis Hahn, they moved to Fords and later settled in Old Bridge to raise their five children. During this time, Josephine was a Third Order Carmelite and an active parishioner of Jesus the Lord Church where she practiced her faith.
Josephine and Dennis later settled in Lakewood. During her time living in Lakewood, Josephine was an active member of the Jackson Elks where she made everyone smile singing karaoke which included her favorite song, "Spirit in the Sky". She was also an artist creating many beautiful paintings by hand. Above all, Josephine's greatest passions were being a wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.
Josephine is predeceased by her husband Dennis. She is survived by her loving children and their spouses; Laura and Mario (deceased) Buongiovanni of Manchester, Michael and Cheryl Hahn of Manahawkin, Dennis and Donna Hahn of Pawleys Island, S.C., Linda and Frank Durante of Monroe Twp, Joseph and his fiance Patricia Justice of New Egypt, adored grandchildren; Elizabeth, Michael, Nicole, Brian, Laura, Kelly, Lauren, Michael Jr., Casandra, Michelle, Danielle, Dennis, Frankie, Nicholas, Jackalyn, Matthew and Samantha. Josephine also leaves behind 17 cherished great grandchildren and her sister Constance Sielicki.
Relatives and friends are invited to visit on Monday, June 30, 2025 from 2:00pm to 4:00pm and 7:00pm to 9:00pm at Days Funeral Home, 361 Maple Pl, Keyport, NJ 07735. Tuesday, July 1, 2025 9:15 AM at the funeral home. A Funeral Mass will be offered 10:00am at St. Joseph RC Church followed by entombment at St. Joseph Cemetery, 360 Broadway, Keyport, New Jersey 07735.
