We gather virtually to celebrate and remember Josephine S. Hallo. She passed away unexpectedly, but peacefully in her sleep on May 10, 2024. Josephine was a beautiful loving and kind mother to her only daughter Haley Hallo. She has three sisters and one brother who were all raised by a kind strong willed mother Mary Sanchez and an amazing father Vicente Sanchez.

Some of Josephine’s greatest acheivements was winning the 1985 miss latin America pageant, becoming a rehabilitation tech II, and becoming a makeup artist and skincare analysis. Josephine would do all the newscasters makeup. She had a passion for her artistic work, and even had some of her paintings held downtown in art shows.

Josephine was a shining light of humor, a go getter, artistic, and a fighter. Josephine never gave into this cancerous disease, and she never gave up. Her positivity and her strong faith built background kept her strong. Josephine battled stage 4 metastatic breast cancer for a long 3 years. The cancer however did not take my mother… she beat the cancer as she is now resting in peace in God’s holy kingdom. She is now living eternal life in heaven. Now if you ask me, Josephine definitely beat cancer. Josephine will never be forgotten, but remembered by so many lives she has touched. Josephine uplifted so many individuals with her positivity and strength. A reminder from my mother “When life gets tough keep on fighting even harder than before, and keep your heart as close to God as you can, but not of the things of this world.”
