Josephine Heredia, a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great grandmother and friend passed away on February 20, 2025, at the age of 89. She was born on May 14, 1935, and dedicated her life to raising her family on a ranch in the Nogales community. Josephine's unwavering support for her husband, Tomas Heredia, in both life and his passions is a testament to her devotion and strength.
With a personality that was rough around the edges yet full of wit and humor, Josephine brought joy to all who knew her. She cherished the moments spent around the dinner table with her family, emphasizing the importance of togetherness. Known for her nurturing spirit, she found great happiness in caring for her loved ones and was a devoted animal lover, especially fond of her dogs.
Throughout her life, Josephine found fulfillment in various hobbies and interests. She thrived on the ranch, engaging with the land and supporting the cowboys whenever she could. Josephine always showed her commitment to her husband's adventures in ranching and also to the community around them.
She is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Tomas Heredia. Josephine’s legacy lives on through many family members and friends who will forever cherish her memory. A Mass in her honor will be held on March 14, 2025, 10:00 AM at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Nogales, Arizona followed by a burial at the Nogales Cemetery providing an opportunity for those who loved her to gather and celebrate her life.
