Josephine (Fiorentino) Laude, 97, passed away on September 14, 2025, in Boca Raton, FL. with her loving daughter Gina and Granddaughter Gianna by her side. Born in Springfield, MA on August 18, 1928, she was the daughter of the late Vincenzo and Angelina (Centouri) Fiorentino

Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband Peter C. Laude, Sr., her brother John Fiorentino, her sisters Dora Sibilia and Antoinette Thivierge, and her beloved grandson Michael Mascaro Laude.

To cherish her memory, Josephine leaves behind her children Peter C. Laude, Jr. of Boca Raton, FL, Carlo Laude and his wife Lynn of Delray Beach, FL., Gina Laude-Gesualdo and her husband Michael of Coconut Creek, FL., her sister Anna Sheehan. Also survived by her loving grandchildren, Jenna Laude, Nicholas Laude, Michael Peter Laude Gesualdo, Gianna Gesualdo, and her great-granddaughter Mikayla Mascaro.

Josephine was the center of her family's world. She was a generous and loving woman who was always there for them. Josephine longed for her passing husband Peter of 42 years. Their relationship was truly cut from a love story. She was known for her glamorous flair and true beauty inside and out, but her greatest joy came from the strong family bonds she nurtured and the joy she found in bringing everyone together. She enjoyed the simple things in life, Family dinners, watching her grandchildren grow up, her granddog Daisy, gardening, her favorite bird, the Cardinal, decorating that always reflected her fondness for Japan, a reflection of the cherished memories from her wedding there. For those who knew her best, their bond was woven with love, laughter, and unwavering support, a deeply intertwined connection that remains an irreplaceable part of their lives. Her legacy will forever be in our hearts, and she will be truly missed forever and ever.

Family and friends are invited to gather on Saturday, September 20th at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, William Street, Springfield, MA at 10AM.

Burial will be in the Gate of Heaven Cemetery, 421 Tinkham Rd., Springfield, MA.

In memory of Josephine memorial contributions may be made to Shriners Children Hospital, 516 Carew St, Springfield, MA 01104. For more information or to leave an online condolence, please visit www.forastiere.com
