Josephine (Giuseppa) Lentini, 96, of Nutley, passed away Wednesday, April 16, 2025. Born in Messina, Italy, Josephine was the daughter of the late Placido and Angela (Conte) Femino. A devoted wife and loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and aunt. The beloved wife of the late Orazio Lentini, Josephine is survived by her children and their wives, Placido Lentini (dearly departed Chona), John Lentini (Marie), Maria Casale (Ralph), Frank Lentini (Natalie), Angelo Lentini (Kimberly) and Alfredo Lentini (Celeste), her brother Filippo, sisters Teresa, Cettina, and Nuccia, nineteen grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Prior to moving the family to the United States in 1975 Josephine was a teacher in Messina.
Josephine dedicated her life to God and her family, attending Church regularly, loved to sing praises to the Lord, a wonderful cook and enjoyed family gatherings. Josephine was filled with faith, love and prayer for all.
The funeral will be Tuesday, April 22, 2025, at 10:00AM from the S.W. Brown & Son Funeral Home, (www.swbrownandson.com), 267 Centre St., Nutley.
The funeral Service will be celebrated at 11:00AM at House of Fire Christian Church, 835 Grove St., Clifton. The interment will follow at Crest Haven Memorial Park, Clifton.
Visitors will be received at the funeral home on Monday, April 21st from 4:00PM – 8:00PM.
