Josephine Tantillo, beloved mother and cherished grandmother, passed away peacefully on September 4, 2025, at the age of 98. Born on March 30, 1927, in Brooklyn, New York, Josephine lived a life full of love, devotion, and resilience that touched the hearts of all who had the honor to know her.
Josephine is survived by her two daughters, Deborah and her husband Bruce Younger, and Cynthia J. O'Shaughnessy, and her late husband Michael. Her legacy continues through her five grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren, each of whom she cherished deeply and with whom she shared countless joyful moments.
The family invites friends and loved ones to celebrate Josephine's life. Visitation services will be held on September 7, 2025, from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Deer Park - Mangano Family Funeral Home, located at 1701 Deer Park Avenue in Deer Park, NY. A Mass in her memory will take place on September 8, 2025, at 11:15 AM at Saints Cyril & Methodius R.C. Church, located at 125 Half Hollow Rd., Deer Park, NY.
Josephine will be remembered for her unwavering spirit, loving kindness, and the indelible mark she left on her family and community. She will forever hold a special place in the hearts of those she leaves behind.
