Joshua Andrew Peelman, 46, of
Clio, Michigan, passed away on February 6, 2026.
Born on May 20, 1979, Josh lived a life marked by resilience, humor, and an unmistakable presence that filled every room he entered. From a young age, he defied the odds - enduring two kidney transplants and years of dialysis with a strength that inspired everyone around him. He never quit. He never would. God just needed him to go raise a little hell in Heaven.
Josh was the beloved son of Jill Peelman and the late William Keillor. He was a proud and devoted father to Breanna, Katy, and his fur baby son, Ryder, his ride or die from day 1 - three of his greatest accomplishments and the titles he cherished most. - Being "Dad" and "Uncle" were roles he wore with pride.
Josh loved Legos, sports, and wrestling. He had a serious appreciation for good shoes and sharp hats. Taco Tuesdays were sacred and could not be missed. He had a sarcastic wit, an outspoken spirit, and a way of becoming the center of attention without even trying. But beneath the humor and bold personality was a man who loved deeply - his family and friends meant everything to him.
Josh had recently joined the Masons, continuing his lifelong desire to belong, to contribute, and to stand for something bigger than himself.
He is survived by his most loved mommy, Jill Peelman, daughters, Breanna Bettencourt and Katy Simon, sisters, Cammie Peelman, Katie (Jeremy) Taljonick, Melanie Bradshaw, Kimberly Schmidt, and Christopher Keillor, and by his treasured nieces and nephews: Cole, Mil'Lana, Santino, Dos Santos, Justin, TaylorAnne, D'Angelo, and Nyla. He also leaves behind aunts and uncles, Carrie (Donn) DeBoer, Sherry Peelman, Steve (Mary) Peelman, and Philip Peelman, his beloved grandfather, Elmer Peelman, whom he absolutely adored, along with many cousins and special friends Jeremy, Nick, Deric, Buddy, Mohammad, Rebecca, and his stepmom, Sharon Keillor, and his extended family at The Vehicle City Club where he spent countless hours surrounded by some of his greatest friends. Josh was preceded in death by his father, William Keillor and his Grandma, Betty Peelman.
Josh's life can be summed up in the phrase he and his family lived by: #TeamNoQuit. Through every battle, every setback, every challenge - he did not quit.
Though our hearts are broken, we find comfort knowing he is finally at peace and no longer suffering.
Josh's strength, laughter, and fierce love will live on in all who knew him.
Cremation has taken place. A celebration of life will be announced and take place at a later date.
