Joshua “Josh” J. Schicker, 45, of Fillmore, IN passed away on Friday, July 4, 2025 at the Waters of Greencastle, where he’d been a resident for a little over a year. He was born on September 23, 1979 to Donald J. Schicker and the late Pamela (Kinman) Schicker.
Josh was a 1998 graduate of North Putnam High School. He was an automotive mechanic, built guitars and was the lead guitarist and singer in his band, Lost in Time, for nearly 20 years. He loved to shoot his bow and arrow, play softball with the family, watch Lord of the Rings and Star Wars.
Josh is survived by his daughter, Caitlin Schicker of Bloomington, IN; father, Don Schicker of Fillmore, IN; brother, Michael (Kristina) Schicker of Cloverdale, IN; nephew Ethan Schicker, and his “brother” Chris Scott of Cloverdale, IN. Also missing Josh are many extended family members and dear friends.
The family will receive friends at Helton & Harris Funeral Home, DANVILLE, on Friday, July 11, 2025 from 4-7pm. A funeral service will be held the following day at 12:00 pm with a one-hour visitation prior. Josh will be laid to rest in the Danville South Cemetery.
