Lynne M. Schicker, 71, of Palm City, FL, passed away peacefully on Friday, June 27, 2025, with her best friend at her side.
She is reunited in Heaven with her parents Arthur and Margaret McKinley (nee Vermeal), her brother, Gary McKinley and her beloved husband, Kevin J.P. Schicker.
Lynne was a graduate of Brick Township High School; she received her Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Special Education from Georgian Court University. Lynne worked 20 years for Early Intervention Program of Monmouth and Ocean Counties as a teacher to babies with special needs before moving to Florida. In Florida she continued her work with children and adults with special needs as well as foster care. Lynne dedicated her life to helping children, adults and families facing adversity. She was always there to teach, guide and support those in need. She gave them hope.
She loved all of her nephews, godson and niece. Watching all the children grow and being part of their lives brought her such happiness. She loved watching life through the eyes of a child. Although Lynne is no longer with us, her contributions to children's and families lives and the impact she had on all of us that she came in contact with will long be remembered. We will all cherish the memories we have with her and smile knowing that she is happy, reunited with the love of her life and is at peace. Lynne will forever be held in the hearts of her loving family and friends.
The family will receive relatives and friends on Wednesday, July 16, from 3pm to 7pm at the Carmona Bolen Home for Funerals, 412 Main St., Toms River, NJ. A Funeral Service will be celebrated on Thursday, July 17, 2025, at 10am at the funeral home. Interment will follow to St. Joseph Cemetery, 80 Cedar Grove Rd., Toms River, NJ.
