Joshua Booth Obituary

Joshua V.L. Booth, 35 died at his home on August 1, 2025. He was born May 11, 1990, in Topeka, Kansas, the son of Shannon R. (Mahkuk) Hurd.

Bubbs as he was known to this family graduated from high school and attended Cowley County Community College in Crowley, KS. He was a member of the Prairie Band Potawatomi Nation in Mayetta, KS. Bubbs enjoyed video games, collecting, reading, researching, cooking and tinkering with any items. He had been working as a custodian at Sumner Memorial High School in Sullivan, ME.

He is survived by his mother Shannon Hurd and stepfather Brandon, sisters Addilynn Wright and Zoe Hurd all of Gouldsboro, ME; sisters Ashli Burgess of Topeka, KS., Alexandria Tuter and husband Brian of Wichita, KS., Chrissi Janicke and husband Andrew, Cassi Hurd, all of Springhill, KS.; step-sister Trystian Mcmurray and her husband Robert; brother Connor Hurd of Topeka, KS.; grandmother, Linda Brownlow of Holton, KS., grandparents Steve and Sharon Dooley aunt Janette Scott and husband Kliff, uncle Travis Hurd and wife Kim all of Topeka, KS., several cousins, nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his stepfather, Anthony Wayne Wright; his great-grandmother, Rachel Brownlow; and his grandfathers, Ed Forbes and James Hurd.

Private services will be held in Kansas.
