Lord & Stephens Funeral Home - EastJoshua Daniel Cochran, Sr., 46, of Comer, died unexpectedly on Tuesday, July 8, 2025.
Born in Athens, he was a son of Nancy Tucker Cochran and the late Jerry Cochran, Sr. Josh loved fishing, football and most importantly, his family. His greatest accomplishments were his children, grandchildren, brother, sister and nieces and nephews. Josh returned to God after years of drifting away and now resides in Heaven with those who knew him from the beginning. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his grand da, Eddie Tucker II; granny, Berma Redd Tucker; grandfather, Carl Cochran; grandmother, Fairy Cochran; aunts, Sylvia Gunnells, Goldie Cochran and Betty Jean Strickland and his uncle, Joseph Paul Cochran.
Survivors in addition to his mother include his sons, Joshua Cochran, Jr., Tyler Cochran and Tucker Cochran; daughter, Kaylea (Will) Sims; siblings, Jerry Cochran, Jr. and Amy (Tobye) Payne; grandson, Liam Sims; granddaughters, Oaklyn Gordon and Eleanor Cochran; nieces, Brittany Payne Daniel and Megan Payne; nephew, Tobye Payne, Jr.; aunt, Jenny Tucker (Kevin) Stith; uncle, Eddie Tucker III; partner in life, Melissa Lord and many great aunts, uncles and cousins.
Funeral services will be Friday, July 18, 2025 at 11:00 am at Lord and Stephens, East with interment following at Evergreen Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Thursday, July 17, 2025 from 6:00 until 8:00 pm at the funeral home.
