Erwin Dwight Cochran, Sr., a dedicated retired brick mason and veteran of the United States Army, passed away on October 1, 2024, in Augusta, Georgia. He was born on April 7, 1957, in Macon, Georgia, where he spent his early years and developed a strong work ethic that would define his and career.
Erwin's contributions to his community and his profession were significant. As a skilled brick mason, he took pride in his work, leaving a legacy of craftsmanship that can still be seen in many structures throughout the region. His expertise in masonry was only rivaled by his commitment to excellence, and he earned the respect and admiration of both clients and colleagues alike.
In addition to his career as a brick mason, Erwin honorably served his country in the United States Army. His military service instilled in him the values of discipline, dedication, and resilience, traits that he carried with him throughout his life.
Erwin is remembered not only for his professional accomplishments but also for his warm personality and willingness to lend a helping hand to those in need. He made a lasting impact on many lives and will be missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
A memorial service will be held in his honor on Saturday, October 19, 2024, at C.A. Reid Sr. Memorial Funeral Home, located at 314-A Laney Walker Blvd Ext., Augusta, GA 30901. The service will begin at 11:00 AM and conclude at 12:00 PM.
Erwin Dwight Cochran, Sr. leaves behind a legacy of hard work and integrity that will not be forgotten. His contributions to his profession and his community will continue to inspire and be cherished by those who knew him.
