Joshua "Drake" Drake, 39, died peacefully on February 26, 2025. Josh was born on December 13th, 1985 in Gravette, Arkansas to Robert and Rae Lynne Drake. He graduated from McDonald County High School in 2004 and went on to attend Pitt State University in Pittsburg, Kansas. Josh met Katelyn in 2007 and together they had Lilly (16) in 2008. Josh married Corinne in 2015, and over the last 10 years of their marriage, the couple had 2 children together, Taylynne (8), and Nash (6). His children remember him as a kind, bold, strong, and handsome father who encouraged them to pursue their goals. Josh was an accomplished business owner, and event marketing guru. He was a generous and dedicated individual who loved helping others, even strangers, and who was passionate about serving his community and cheering on the Chiefs.
Josh is survived by his wife, Corinne Drake, and their children, Lilly Drake, Taylynne Drake, and Nash Drake, parents Robert and Rae Lynne Drake, his siblings Grace McMullen (l.a.), Matthew Drake (Lindsey), Ryan Drake (Terri), Angela Fernandez (David), nieces and nephews Ava, Aryonn, Khalil, McKinley, Kanaan, Kayli, Izi, and Laykyn, father in law, Michael Krei (Carolyn), mother in law, Leslie Ponte, sister in law Faith Christensen (CJ), brother in law, Tyler Krei, grandparents, Dorothy Allgood, Gloria Chesser, Richard Drake (Susan), John Alexander (Liz), and many other friends and extended family all who he loved and adored. He is preceded in death by his Grandpa Ernie.
The visitation is scheduled for 12:00 PM on March 7, 2025 at Park Lawn Funeral Home in Kansas City, MO, with the funeral service following at 2:00 PM.
A Celebration of Life will be held in his hometown of Pineville, MO at a later date.
