Joshua Patrick Flynn (known to his friends simply as Flynn) passed away far too soon on March 17, 2022 in Thornton, Colorado at 39 years of age.
Josh leaves behind a family that loves him deeply, including his daughter Robyn Flynn, his parents Patrick Flynn and Elizabeth Ann (Forge) Rogers, his bonus parents Pamela Flynn, John Rogers, and Steve Peay, sisters Abbey Flynn, Hannah (Mark) Christensen, Kathryn Peay, Aimee (Karl) Fultz, and brother Travis (Emily) Duplantis. Josh also leaves behind nieces and nephews: Daxton and Hadlee Fultz, Sawyer and Autumn Duplantis, his grandmothers Karen Flynn and Delores Forge, Robyn's grandmother Hye Lee and uncle Stephan Lee and family.
Born on April 7, 1982 in Newport Beach, California, Josh moved with his parents to Colorado in 1985. In 1988, Josh and his mother moved to Riverton, Wyoming, where he attended both grade and high school. Josh was active in high school soccer, Boy Scouts and the Lutheran Church. Josh also attended Montana State University Billings. Following school, Josh returned to Colorado where he worked in various capacities, most recently in hospitality as a front desk manager at the Star Motel in Denver.
Above all else, Josh was a loving father to his daughter Robyn and spent every waking moment devoted to her. Josh was a self-proclaimed "enthusiast enthusiast" he deeply believed everyone should have a "thing" and the thing didn't matter as long as it brought you joy. Josh loved to cook gourmet meals, spending time in the outdoors with his friends and family, and fondly picking on his sisters Hannah, Katie and Abbey endlessly. Josh enjoyed playing cutthroat games of Monopoly, competitive rounds of pool, and golfing with his best friend Brian Foster. Josh also enjoyed a good James Bond marathon with his father.
Joshua Flynn was the most sarcastic man you could ever hope to meet, with a heart of gold and a razor-sharp sense of humor. He loved fiercely and always had his family's back. We were all blessed to have been his family and friends. His passing leaves an inescapable absence in our lives. Josh was a giving person, and he gave just as readily in death as he was did in life: he was a tissue donor, and his physical gifts will go on to better and save the lives of others.
