Joshua Scott Hartford, 36, of Columbus, died November 22, 2023, at 11:15 a.m. at his home.
Josh was born August 25, 1987, the son of Ronald Hartford and Brenda Michelle Alexander Powers.
Josh was a 2006 graduate of Pinecrest High School in Pinehurst, NC. He loved playing video games, fishing, and any kind of sports activity. He enjoyed being with his family. He was a friend that you could always count on to be there when needed. A loving father that will be greatly missed.
Services will be Thursday, December 14, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. at Jewell Rittman Family Funeral Home. Calling hours will be from 9:30 until service time.
Burial will be at Christ Cemetery next to Rodney Friendship Separate Baptist Church in Greensburg following the service.
Memorials may be made to Jewell Rittman Family Funeral Home to help with final expenses.
Survivors include his father, Ronald Patrick Hartford, of Columbia, South America; a son, Jaxson Isaiah-Blue Hartford; a grandmother, Brenda Powers; brothers, Stefan Tyler Hartford, Zachary Jack Hartford, Daniel Robert Alexander, all of Columbus; and brothers, Liam Hartford of Colombia, South America; a sister, Lily Rose-Marie Alexander, of Columbus; a sister, Alisson Hartford, of Colombia, South America; nephews, Kato Hartford, Landon Hartford, Ayden Hartford, and Gavin Hartford.
He was preceded in death by his mother, a grandfather, Maurice Jack Powers, and a paternal grandmother, Suzanne Lyford.

Met him at a buddy of mines house, we would hang out and play video games literally all day and night. Dude was a genuine friend and a great father to his son. Can't believe he's gone.
