Joshua “Josh” Hayden, a native and resident of Baton Rouge, Louisiana was born on April 13, 2000, and passed from this life at the age of 22 on Friday, March 24, 2023.
He graduated from Woodlawn High School in 2019, and was a member of the Woodlawn High School Marching Band and was their tallest trombone player. Josh was known for his enormous heart, giving nature, and great sense of humor. He was the happiest when he was at home surrounded by his favorite people.
Josh was a beloved son, brother, grandson, nephew and cousin. He is survived by his parents, Luster and Sandy Hayden; sisters, Allyson Hayden and Sarah (Ross) Albarado; maternal grandmother, Wanda Nichols; paternal grandparents, Charlotte (Dickie) Johnson and Sonny (Bonnie) Hayden; aunt and uncle, Connie (Joe) Maranto; and his loving girlfriend, Taylor Babin.
Josh was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Arthur Nichols and his cousin, Lauren Hayden.
Family and friends are invited to attend the visitation and service at Resthaven Funeral Home, 11817 Jefferson Highway in Baton Rouge on Tuesday, March 28, 2023, beginning at 9:00 a.m. until the funeral service begins at 10:30 a.m.

so incredibly sorry for your loss. josh was so special. he was the first friend i made when i moved here. i´ll always remember him as the kid that made me less scared to be myself and always made me laugh even when i felt like i couldn´t. he helped me during a hard time in my life and for that i will always be thankful. rest in peace.

Josh was such a light. We were in band together for years and took almost every class together. I´m gonna miss you so much bro. To his family, I´m so sorry. Hold each other tight and when you laugh please remember Josh bc that´s one thing he brought to all of our lives.
