Joshua James ("Josh") Horn
December 7, 1976 - December 9, 2024
It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Joshua James Horn, of Vancouver, Washington after a difficult fight with cancer (Follicular Lymphoma). A fighter till the end, Josh passed away on December 9, 2024, in his 48th year. He was a loving husband, and the much-loved and greatly admired brother, uncle and friend. He is a devoted Christian and been an active member of Seventh-day Adventist Church.
Josh was born in California on December 7, 1976, to Harold James Horn and Debbie Schwartz Torrez, with his brother Jason and a sister Michelle. He grew up in California and Cebu, Philippines, graduating from Genetic Computer Institute in Cebu City, Philippines, and among many achievements, enjoyed a 14-year career, with Stonebridge Memory Care from 2009 to 2021 as Business Office Coordinator, and Rebound Orthopedics Neurosurgery from 2021 to 2023. He was devoted to his family and is survived by his loving wife, Nede, and their cutie dog Sparky. Josh will also be greatly missed in the Philippines, his dad Harold and mama Helen, brother Gerses, sisters Heerljik and Ethel, many nephews and nieces.
Josh had a wide circle of friends across the Philippines and the U.S. We are deeply grateful to all of them for their continuing concern and friendship. Our sincere gratitude and appreciation to our church family at the Adventist Community Church in Vancouver, Washington who helped us all the way. We are also grateful to Maria and Dale Brewer, and their beautiful children Naomi, Madison Grace, and Jakob, and Rick and Karen Young for their godly, selfless and loving care, In addition, we thank the doctors and nursing staff of OHSU and Legacy Salmon Creek Hospital for their compassionate care of Josh during the period of his cancer treatment, and in his final days.
The funeral will be held on Friday, December 20, 2024 at Evergreen Memorial Garden 1101 NE 112th Ave, Vancouver, WA 98684. Viewing at 10-11:00 am, Graveside Service at 11-12:00 noon, followed with snacks and beverages 12-1:00 pm.
A celebration of Josh's life will be held on Sunday, December 22, 2024, 2:00 pm at Adventist Community Church, 9711 NE St. Johns Rd, Vancouver, WA 98665.
