Joshua Lee Jacobs, 26, of Daingerfield was born on March 24, 1998 in Mount Pleasant to Eddie and Jaqueline Jacobs. He passed away on December 26, 2024 in Avinger. Joshua was a 2016 graduate of Daingerfield High School. Though never able to work, Joshua enjoyed many things in life. He loved taking strolls and enjoying the God's beautiful creations outdoors. Joshua was preceded in death by his great grandfather, Earnest Landreth; great grandmother, Mary Blundell; grandparents, George and Sue Andreas, grandfather, Billy Ray Jacobs, grandparents, Euguene and Jaqueline Rogers; brother, Kenneth Chaplin, Jr.; and uncle George Andreas. Those left to cherish his many memories include his parents, Eddie Lee Jacobs of Omaha and Jaqueline Jacobs of Daingerfield; and two brothers, David Jacobs of Daingerfield and Austin Smouse of Nerwport, OR. A funeral service will be held at 10 AM Tuesday, December 31, 2024 in the Chapel of Horn-Nail-Haggard Funeral Home in Daingerfield. The family will receive friends during a time of visitation from 6 to 8 PM Monday evening, December 30, 2024 at the funeral home. The family would like to express a very heartfelt thank you to those who cared for Joshua during the many years of his journey especially his nurse's Laura, Shandra and Suzannah.

I went to school with Josh in Elementary. I can remember him always cutting it up with everyone and being friendly . I´d often walk between classes with him . It´s been way too long Josh. You were a cool dude to be around . Rest in peace
