Joshua Eric Kaufman, 56, of Wooster, went to be with his Lord on Thursday, March 20, at Lifecare Hospice, in Wooster.
Joshua was born March 8, 1969 in Wooster. He graduated from Triway High School in 1987. He then attended Valley Forge Christian College, graduating in 2001. He received his Masters in clinical pastoral counseling from Ashland Seminary. He married Jeanette Stanwick on August 18, 1988. Joshua grew up on a dairy farm and eventually became the owner of Heritage Acres. After his time on the farm, he was called to full-time ministry and established a private counseling practice, Gentle Breeze Christian Counseling. His passion for helping others also led him to start a small church plant, A Place to Be. Later, he attended Hands of Grace Church, where he deeply loved his church family.
Joshua enjoyed riding his motorcycle, playing tennis and golf, and bicycling with friends and family. However, above all, Joshua cherished his relationship with the Lord and helping others mature in their relationship with Christ.
Joshua will be deeply missed by his wife, Jeanette; sons Jacob Kaufman of Doylestown, Matthew (Kira) Kaufman of Las Vegas, NV, and Seth Kaufman of Wooster; granddaughter Jaylyn Kaufman; and his sisters Shawny Kaufman and Dawn Christopher both of Wooster; and several nieces and nephews.
Friends may call Saturday, March 22 from 3 to 5 p.m. at Roberts Funeral Home-Sherwood Chapel, Wooster. Services will be Sunday at 2 p.m. at the funeral home (and livestreamed at www.RobertsFuneralHome.com/obituaries/Joshua-Kaufman) with Pastor Randy Moomaw officiating. Burial will be at Sherwood Memorial Gardens. Online tributes may be made at www.RobertsFuneralHome.com. Memorial contributions may be made to Ohio’s Hospice, LifeCare, 1900 Akron Rd., Wooster, OH 44691.
