Charles P. "Charlie" Stryker, age 75, of Wooster, entered into rest on Saturday, October 26, 2024, at Ohio's Hospice Life Care in Wooster. His loving family was by his side.
He was born on September 27, 1949, in Ashland, Ohio to Lawrence Dwight and Mildred (Frazier) Stryker. He has been a Wayne County resident for all of his life.
Survived by his former spouse and cherished friend Alicia (Hutchison) Stryker. Together, they lovingly raised two children. Charlie was a devoted father and hero to his daughter, Andrea (Frank) Crayden, and his son, Nick Stryker. He was also a proud grandfather to Kaleigh Crayden, Alora Crayden, Caleb Crayden, and Ayden Weaver. He is also survived by his brother and best friend Denny (Donna Johnson) Stryker, sister in-laws Peggy Stryker and Ina Stryker, as well as beloved nieces and nephews.
Charlie was proceeded in death by his parents, his sister, Maxine Hustead, and his brothers, Lawrence "Bob" Stryker and Raymond Stryker.
Following his graduation from Triway High School, he then served in the U.S. Army from 1969 - 1971. While stationed in Germany, he played football for The Gremlins.
Upon return he worked for the County for 11 years. He then worked for the City of Wooster at the Wastewater Treatment Plant for over 24 years before retiring in 2007.
Charlie was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles in Wooster and a longtime member of American Legion Post 68 of Wooster. He enjoyed watching Westerns, going fishing, playing cards, and supporting (as well as yelling) at his favorite sports teams and crime shows. Most of all, he loved spending time with his family, friends, and significant other.

Memorial services will take place on Saturday, November 2, 2024, 4:00 pm at Custer-Glenn Funeral Home, 2284 Benden Dr., in Wooster with Pastor Ignatius David officiating.
Visitation for family and friends will be 2 hours prior (2:00 - 4:00 pm) to the services at the funeral home on Saturday.
Interment will take place on Monday, November 4, 2024, at 2:45 pm at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery in Seville where military honors will also be conducted.
