Mr. Joshua Todd Lafever Sr., age 43, of Mt. Washington, KY returned to his Heavenly Father on July 3, 2025, with his family by his side. He was born in Louisville, Kentucky on February 18, 1982, to Peggy Faulkner and late Jimmy Lafever. Joshua was a loving dad, son, papaw, uncle, and friend. His family was the center of his universe. He radiated happiness, kindness, and compassion, touching the lives of everyone around him. He had a heart like no other. Joshua was a free spirit, who found peace on the open road and joy under the open sky. Whether riding down backroads on his motorcycle or being outdoors he lived for the adventure and beauty of the world around him. He was filled with laughter, stories, and never missed a beat. Joshua enjoyed going to the casino and listening to music in his free time. His love was loud, unshakeable, and always known. Joshua's memory will be cherished by all who knew and loved him. Joshua was preceded in death by his father, Jimmy Lafever; stepfather, Paul Faulkner; grandfather, Charles Childress; uncle, Tony Childress; nephew, Brandon Self.
He is survived by his son, Joshua Todd Lafever Jr. (Cassidy); daughter, Jadelyn Lafever (James); grandchildren, Emery Lynn Lafever and James Earl Emerson III; mother, Peggy Faulkner; grandmother, Doris Childress; uncles, Michael Childress and Chuck Childress; aunt, Angela Self (Mike); best friend/ brother, Chip Goins (Cheyenne); a host of nieces and nephews; along with many other family and friends.
