Joshua Scott Pierson

Joshua Scott Pierson, 36, fondly known as Bubbie and Buggz, passed away on October 8th, 2025. Joshua was born in Fresno, CA and raised in Bakersfield, CA. He is survived by his parents Tamara (Pierson) and Steve Hobbs, sisters Nicole and Sarah Jackson-Graham and his uncle Patrick Pierson all from Hamilton, OH, and his uncle Darrin Pierson in Daytona Beach, FL.

Joshua will be joining his grandmother Jackie Pierson and his Uncle Scott Pierson, who he is lovingly named after.

Joshua spent his life caring for the physically challenged as an in-home provider and was heavy into the underground music scene where he was the sound controller at Jerry's Pizza here in Bakersfield. Joshua was known for his infectious laugh, light heart and the positive attitude he exuded no matter what. He was loved by many and known as quirky with a big caring heart.

There are not enough words to describe the sadness felt by those who loved him. He was cut short on this side of his life, but he would want us to carry on, celebrate and remember him in his big smile and famous words of "Hell yeah!".
