Joshua Li Soontiraratn, born January 22, 2009, passed away on October 29, 2024, leaving behind a legacy of love, intellect, and kindness that will be cherished forever. Joshua was a bright light in the lives of all who knew him. As a varsity tennis player and honor student, he excelled both in and out of the classroom, combining natural intelligence with a driven spirit. He was the beloved son of Joel and Elizabeth Soontiraratn and a devoted brother to Lora, who cherished their time together-especially building Minecraft worlds and sharing laughs. Joshua was known for his remarkable wit, sense of humor, and passion for learning. A voracious reader with a remarkable strategic mind, he loved chess and deck-building games, excelling at activities that engaged his intellect. His unique ability to understand complex topics and explain them with clarity made him a joy to learn from. His creative spirit and curiosity enriched the lives of those around him, and his family took immense pride in his many talents. Joshua found joy in life's simple pleasures: playing pickleball with friends and family, singing his favorite songs, savoring good food, and watching Marvel movies. His love for family, friends from church and school, and his entire community was unwavering. He was a kind, sincere, and loving son, brother, grandson, nephew, cousin, and friend-a young man of immense heart and wisdom who left a lasting impression on everyone he met. Joshua's legacy will live on through the countless memories he shared with loved ones. His family will forever hold close the light he brought into their lives, carrying forward his spirit of compassion, curiosity, and joy.

One of my favorite memories with Joshua was when we went to hurricane Harbour for a birthday party and on the way listening to all kinds of music.

Joshua´s sweet nature with Lora will always bring a smile to my face. Joshua would play Barbie´s with Lora to keep her entertained. Although, when he "played" Barbie´s, the dolls all did parkour.

The last words I heard him speak were, "You´re the best mom".

We love you Joel, Beth, and Lora. We are heartbroken and praying for you every day. From the brief moments I had with him he was such a sweet boy. It was obvious how much he was loved and cherished.

As his counselor at school, I was able to witness his high level of intelligence and soft-heartedness. Having had a few moments where I was able to sit with him and see in his eyes helps me now. I love the moments God gives us.
