Joshua William Tharp, Jr., 56, of Cabot, Arkansas passed away September 30, 2025, surrounded by his loved ones.

Josh was born in Tulsa, OK to the late Joshua William Tharp, Sr. and Marjorie Ann Lee Tharp. Josh was a long-time resident of Cabot, having fostered many long-term friendships at school, prior jobs and on ponds, lakes and rivers in and around Lonoke County. Josh loved to fish, nothing made him happier than being on the bank with his son, nieces, nephews or a friend. His passion for fishing as well as his expertise with rods, reels and lies has been passed down to the next generation. They all have fond memories of lessons and stories from banks with Josh.

Josh is survived by his son, Joshua Ryan Tharp, (Jordan Loveday) his granddaughters, Ainsleigh Danielle Tharp, Teagan Renea Tharp, grandson, Ronan Atlas Tharp and step grandson Silas Bundy, his sisters, Shelli Garcia, (Sam), Alta Tharp (James Warren) and Shawna Criswell (James), sister of heart, Tina Moragne (Stacey) as well as many nephews and nieces.

All services will be held at 16 th Section United Methodist Church in Austin, Arkansas.
