Joshua W. Yarbrough, affectionately known as "Josh," was born on January 19, 1983, in Tulsa, Oklahoma to David Wayne and Kelli (Latty) Yarbrough. He peacefully passed away on October 17, 2025, in Bartlesville, Oklahoma, behind cherished memories and a legacy of love for those who knew him.
Josh grew up in Skiatook, where he received his education and graduated with the Class of 2002. His roots in the community fostered enduring connections and friendships that he carried into adulthood. From an early age, Josh was known for his adventurous spirit and a penchant for embracing the great outdoors. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, activities that not only brought him joy but also allowed him to bond with family and friends in nature's embrace.
A passionate fan of Oklahoma Sooners and Kansas City Chiefs football, Josh took great pride in his teams, celebrating victories and sharing the excitement of the game with those around him. His adventurous nature extended to riding four-wheelers and attending drag races, where he reveled in the thrill of the moment. Josh was cowboy loved doing the cowboy traits.
Moreover, Josh found immense happiness in the simple pleasures of life. He loved spending time playing with his beloved nieces, Adelynn and Sadie Yarbrough, who were a bright light in his life. His fondness for cooking led him to spend quality moments in the kitchen with his mother, Kelli, where they created cherished memories over shared meals. Movie nights with his family were a treasured tradition, encapsulating the warmth and joy of their close-knit bond.
Josh was employed with FedEX where he was a truckdriver for the past 14 years. Josh was also a member of the First Baptist Church of Skiatook.
Josh is survived by his loving parents, David and Kelli Yarbrough; his brother, Jacob Yarbrough, and his wife, Danielle; two nieces, Adelynn and Sadie Yarbrough; and a host of other relatives and friends who will forever remember his kindness, laughter, and adventurous spirit. He was preceded in death by his grandparents and an aunt, who welcomed him with open arms.
As we remember Josh, we reflect on a life marked by love, adventure, and the profound impact he had on those fortunate enough to have known him. His spirit will continue to live on through the countless memories shared and the love that remains in the hearts of his family and friends.
