Josie Imogene Stover, 92, of Ashland, died May 24, 2025 at The Inn at Ashland Woods.
Josie was born December 7, 1932 in Sandlick, WV to Frank and Esther {Dickens} Atha.
She married Benjamin Stover on October 20, 1951. He died on June 22, 2002.
Josie was a homemaker who was an excellent cook, she took great care of her family. She loved children and having a full house. Everyone said she was the sweetest person, and she was. She would do anything for anyone no questions asked.
Josie will be deeply missed by her son Robert (Linda) Stover; grandchildren Lisa (Juan) Walker-Hernandez, Christopher (Crystal) Walker, Robert (Kristin) Stover, Mark (Raven) Stover; 13 great-grandchildren and brother Clinton Atha
Josie was preceded in death by her husband, daughter Sharon (Glenn) Lawrence; brothers Tracy Harper, Quincy Atha; sister Reathel Snuffer.
Friends may visit Monday June 2, 2025 from 10 to 11 a.m. at Roberts Funeral Home-Ashland Chapel. Funeral services will follow at the funeral home with Pastor J.D. Hylden officiating. Burial will be at Ashland County Memorial Park. Online tributes may be made at www.RobertsFuneralHome.com. Memorial contributions may be made online to the Alzheimer's Association or Dementia Society of America.
