Joslyn Kolaz, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away on October 7, 2025, at Hazard ARH, leaving behind cherished memories and a legacy of love. Born on March 25, 1952, in Hazard, KY, Joslyn was known for her friendly demeanor, her love for nature, and her outgoing personality.
A proud high school graduate , Joslyn dedicated her career to serving others as a retiree from Save-A-Lot. Her work was marked by a commitment to community and connection, mirroring the care she showed to her family and friends throughout her life.
Joslyn treasured spending her time engaging in hobbies that included crocheting, spending time in nature, hunting mushrooms, and riding 4-wheelers. Her passions reflected her zest for life and her appreciation of the simple joys found in both family and the great outdoors.
She is survived by her loving and devoted husband, Anthony William Kolaz, and her loving children: sons: Dustin Meyer (Jeannette) and Michael Meyer; daughters: Michelle Lee (Michael) and Denise Cugliari (John). Joslyn was proud of her family, reveling in the joy of her eight treasured grandchildren and three great-grandchildren, whom she adored deeply.
Joslyn was preceded in death by her parents, Arthur Morris and Oleta Morris, and her brother, Gordie Morris. Though they are no longer by her side, their memories live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
A funeral service to honor Joslyn's life will be held on October 18, 2025, at Confluence Baptist Church in Hyden, KY, starting at 1:00 PM. Family and friends are welcome to join in celebrating the remarkable life of Joslyn Kolaz, whose presence will be missed but whose spirit will forever remain in the lives she touched.
