A funeral service for Joslyn J. Smith, 69 of Zanesville will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, February 21, 2026 at the Church of God at God's Acres with Pastor Roger L. Decker officiating. Burial will be at Barnes Cemetery.

Mrs. Smith went to be with the Lord Friday morning, February 13, 2026 at her home. She was born January 26, 1957 in Racine, WI to the late Walter H. and Edith B. (White) Davis.

Mrs. Smith worked as a deli and bakery manager for 30 years, retiring from Kroger. She had a gift for decorating, creating a home where everyone felt welcome. She loved spending time in the kitchen, cooking and hosting family dinners. She enjoyed traveling with her husband, Max. She especially enjoyed visiting the Outer Banks of North Carolina where she made many visits to the beach house; making lasting memories with family, especially her sister, Diane. Mrs. Smith was a faithful member of the Church of God at God's Acres.

Survivors include her husband, Max Smith; children, Amanda Slagell, Daniel (Letty) Slagell, Andrew (Lauren) Slagell and Rebekah (Chris) Decker; step-children, Heather (Peter) Antritt, Lydia (Tim) Lockwood, Celeste (Joe) Bremer, Anna (Josh) Smith, Elizabeth Smith and Ruth Domanek; 27 grandchildren; two great grandchildren; and a dear sister, Diane Davis.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by two brothers, Walter Davis and Lloyd Davis; and a granddaughter, Willow June Slagell.

Friends may call 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday, February 20, 2026 at the Church of God at God's Acres, 675 N. Cedar Street, Newark.
