Journey: A devoted father, a beloved son, a protective big brother, a loyal friend to many. A
person who makes an impact on everyone they meet.
Journey Brayden Cannon of Winchester, Virginia, left this life on Monday, October 27, 2025. Journey leaves behind his daughter, Kailani Rayne Cannon, his mom and dad, Angela Marie Wright and Brenton James Wright, his brother and sisters, Arion Dayle Cannon, Harmony Belle Cannon and Leia Lynne Wright, and countless grandparents, aunts, uncles, and friends.
Journey came into this world on a mission. He loved hard. He asked the big questions. He always got the last word. He loved singing, dancing, and making people laugh. When you were around him there was always music playing. All genres. There wasn't much he wouldn't listen to. The outdoors were his serenity. He loved the water, especially the ocean, and he loved to fish. He always wanted to go to new places and seek out new experiences. On his last day he excitedly spoke about looking forward to his next big trip.
Sometimes the best part of a road trip is getting a little lost. Once the urgency to find the right path wears off, a calm will set in. You find beauty in places you might not have otherwise seen it. You meet people that you might have not otherwise met. You learn to brace for the unknown twists, turns and bumps along the way. You find a new path forward. Sometimes, you even reach your destination a little sooner than expected.
Some might say that when you reach your destination the trip is over. He would say that the destination is where a new Journey begins.
