Joy Eadens

Joy Dian (Peay) Eadens, 73, passed away peacefully on December 11, 2025, relieved of her suffering and surrounded by family under the exceptional care of Hospice of Southern Kentucky.
Joy was a talented crafter, a skilled seamstress, and an immensely proud Nana. A Bowling Green native, she returned to the area for retirement, though she had several other stops along her life's journey. Most notably, she spent 13 years living in the "Quilting Capital," Paducah, where her interests thrived and she created several award-winning quilts. Locally, Joy was a familiar face to many in the front office of Bristow Elementary for nearly 15 years.
Joy is survived by her husband of 53 years, Barry; three children, Jessica Sanford (Ernie), Ashley Hudnall (Travis), and Adam Eadens (Catharine); nine grandchildren, Katie, Natalie, Sydnie, Ean, Trevor, Nolan, Grant, Rannoch, and Elowyn; one brother, Lanny Peay; and four nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Clifford Peay Sr. and Lottie (McCoy) Peay; and one brother, Clifford Peay Jr.
Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 16, and 9-11 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 17, at J.C. Kirby & Son, 820 Lovers Lane, with the funeral service to follow at 11 a.m. Burial will be in the Bowling Green Gardens.
