Joy Adelia Fulton

In Loving Memory of Joy "Dee" Fulton 9/22/1938 – 7/25/2025
It is with sadness we announce the passing of Joy Adelia Fulton, 86, on July 25, 2025, in Farmington, NM. Born on September 22, 1938, in Guymon, Oklahoma to parents Connie and Mildred Curtis, she was raised in Guymon and that was where she met the love of her life, Tom Fulton. They were married on December 31, 1955, had three children and resided in Farmington, NM. Joy's life was marked by creativity, fun and a deep devotion to her family and friends.
A loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and sister; Joy loved her family and friends and enjoyed living life to the fullest with them. She worked as an administrative aide in the local Oil and Gas Industry retiring her career with Conoco Phillips Company. During this time, she was an active member of the Desk and Derrick Club of Farmington where she traveled, participated in many community projects and made lifelong friends. Joy learned oil painting at San Juan College and became a gifted artist; her many paintings hang at their family home. Joy loved local baseball and together with Tom they supported and coached Little League sports including a team in the Connie Mack World Series. Surrounded by family and friends, she also enjoyed playing games, dancing, 4-wheeling, RVing and spending time at their cabin in Colorado.
She was preceded in death by her husband Tom, their infant daughter Cheryl Sue, her parents Connie and Mildred Curtis and Tom's parents Earl and Evelyn Fulton.
She is survived by her children, son Robert Earl and grandson's Hunter Thomas and Joshua Cox; daughter Linda Fulton-Harris, grandson's Joshua and Seth Harris, and great granddaughter Morrigan Harris; two siblings, sister Robinelle Adams, brother John Curtis (Tere), and sister-in-law Kay Rogers (Ted), along with numerous nieces and nephews.
Cremation has taken place, and a memorial service will be held at Mesa View Baptist Church, 4 Rd 5323, Farmington, NM 87401 on Saturday, August 2 at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Tom Dierdorf officiating.
