Joy had a big heart, and a smile that always drew the light from within, for everyone to see. She found joy in simple things, and happiness and the accomplishments and well-being of those she loved. She was a blessing.

I had the priviledge of knowing Joy growing up in the McQuire neighborhood in Southside Richmond area. Her name was an apt description of who she was, a real joy. She was such a loving, giving soul and will be missed.
