Joy Dawn Miller, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and cherished friend, passed away peacefully on February 15, 2026, at the age of 58. Born on April 14, 1967, in Lake Charles, Louisiana, Joy grew up in Crowley, Louisiana, where she cultivated her love for life, family, and the community. She spent the last 18 years residing in Roanoke, Louisiana.

Joy was a woman of many passions. She enjoyed fishing and camping on her property at Rutherford Beach, dancing, and listening to music, filling her days with joy and laughter. She loved playing Bingo and cherished every moment spent surrounded by her family. As a devoted wife to Daniel Miller, she created a warm and loving home for their children: Sandra Passofaro, Heather Miller, Dena Miller, Jeffrey Passofaro, and one grandson Leon Alexander. She loved her beloved dog Dottie and thought of her as a daughter.

In addition to her family life, Joy was known for her entrepreneurial spirit as a business owner and actively participated as a member of the Crowley Rice Festival Committee, contributing to the cultural fabric of her community. She was also a member of the Living Word Assembly.

She is survived by her husband, Daniel Miller; her daughters, Sandra, Heather, and Dena; her son, Jeffrey Passofaro; her sisters, Penny Hopper, Peggy Lovett, Sandra Sonnier, Tammy Hooper, and Sylvia George; and her grandson, Leon Alexander.

Joy's brightness will be missed deeply by all who knew and loved her.

Rest in peace, Joy. Your spirit will live on in the hearts of those you touched.

Joy was preceded in death by: Jimmy George, Margie George, Wanda LaValle, Patsy George, Jack George, Faye George
