Share your Memorial with Family & FriendsJoy Eulene Wren Satcher passed away peacefully on June 17, 2025 while in the loving care of the nursing staff from Solaris Healthcare on Merritt Island, Florida. Originally from Tennessee, Joy met (at Murray State University) and married a "florida cracker", (Charles Satcher) and thus became a longtime resident of Brevard County. She worked over 35 years as a County Home Extention Agent where she actively participated in & was responsible for live food preparation and demonstrations, 4-H programs throughout the county and often was either a judge or participant at the county fair! She retired as a professor Emeritus from University of Florida. Joy was a proud mother to "Joy's Boys", (Bill & Ray Satcher) and just as proud a grandmother to Sara Joy Satcher and Chris Satcher. She was for 57 years a blushing bride to her one true love, Charlie. Together they enjoyed spending time with family and friends, traveling the world with Pan Am, fishing at their cabin in Ocala, Antiquing for furniture and clocks, & managing their rental properties. Later in retirement, Joy enjoyed volunteering in the Thrift Shop at her church (Cocoa Beach Community Church).Joy very much lived up to her name with her big smile, twinkling eyes, large personality, and her determination to put everyone at ease, make them feel special, welcomed, & included. For the last several years her major goal was to be able to live to be 100; however, she recently said that while it would be great to be 100, she had "lived a great life and that making it that far would be up to the good Lord." She passed away one month shy of her 98th birthday and will forever be missed by those who knew her. Joy is survived by her eldest son Bill (Kelly) Satcher of Cocoa Beach, grandchildren: Sara Joy Robertson & Christopher Satcher, great grandchildren: Sean Orion Robertson & Kaylee Joy Robertson, all who are from Eugene, Oregon, & Linda Joy Wren Luther from Martin, TN.She was preceded in death by her husband Charles Winfield Satcher, her youngest son, Ray Satcher (Cocoa Beach), brothers Bevley Wren, & Jere Wren, parents J B Wren & Blanche Wren (Bradford, Tn).A memorial service is planned for mid-November at The Cocoa Beach Community Church on A1A.In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to her church.

What a wonderful lady! I was so proud to be a Brevard County 4-H member. Joy led us to be one of the top counties in Florida. What a great time in my life that she was so much a part of.
