Joy Lee Brown Smith, 76, passed away on September 13, 2025. She was born on October 22, 1948 in Wichita, KS to Vernon and Mabel (Genevieve) Brown.
Joy was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She will be remembered for her laughter and joy she brought to all that knew her. She enjoyed her family and friends and coworkers that she knew from her many years at Wesley Medical Center and The VA hospital in Wichita as a heart monitor technician.
She was preceded in death by her parents and sister Susan Thomas.
Survivors include her brother Gary Brown of Boerne, TX; daughter Shelly Young of Aurora, CO; Steven Smith of Wichita, KS and daughter-in-law Ruth Smith of Wichita. Also, 2 grandchildren Kristina Anderson of Jacksonville, NC and Clint Smith and 2 great grandchildren Ryker and Wesley Anderson.
She will be deeply missed by her family and friends. Rest in Peace.
