Christopher Michael William Hall (Mike) passed away on December 31, 2025 at the age of 74.He was born January 27, 1951 to Ernest and Annie Hall in Gardner, Kansas.
Mike grew up in Wellsville and Ottawa, Kansas, graduated from Ottawa High School and then attended Chanute Jr College and graduated from Ottawa University with a degree in Business Management. Every summer his family traveled by train to California and on such a trip in 1966 his sister introduced the Gospel to them. In 1967 he and his mom joined the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. His dad joined several years later. His faith remained an important part of his life.
In 1974 on one of their trips Mike met his wife, Jeanne in California on a blind date. Their connection was immediate and they married in the Los Angeles temple in October 1975. They began their married life in Whittier, California before moving to Mulvane, Kansas in 1979 when Mike accepted a position at Beech Aircraft. During his career working in Weights Engineering, he worked at Beech, Boeing and Cessna.
Mike had a lifelong love of aviation, which began at a young age and became a passion and career. He also loved working with the boys in Scouting and saw all 3 of his boys attain the rank of Eagle Scout. He loved to sing and often sang in the choir. He also loved Hallmark movies, StarTrek and all Sci-Fi movies.
Mike is survived by his wife, Jeanne of Derby, KS and their 7 children, Jonathan Hall of South Jordan, UT, Khrista Rex of Mulvane, KS, Ahnica Thompson (Micah) of Derby, KS, Janiece Erbert (Darrin) of Andover, KS, Karina Katschke (Franklin) of Panaca, NV, Nathan Hall (Nicole) of Dodgeville, WI, Eric Hall (Jessica) of Mansfield, TX, his sister Janet Doi of Cedar Park, TX and 21 grandchildren.
Mike was preceded in death by his parents Ernest and Annie Hall. He will be remembered for hisdevotion to his family, his faith, his love of aviation and the steady, caring presence he brought to the lives of those who knew him.Public Visitation will be held at 10:00am with Funeral Service to follow at 11:00am on Saturday, January 3, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints 1409 S. Rock Rd Derby, KS 67067. Burial to follow at Hillcrest Cemetery.
