Joy (Jodi) R Weber (nee Erickson) passed away on Thursday, July 17, 2025. She was 93 in age, yet young at heart. Born of hearty stock, she was the daughter of Ruth and George Erickson, sharing her adventurous nature with brothers Jack and Don, all of Michigan.

Jodi moved with her parents at the age of 12 to Washington DC where she lived for the remainder of her life in the DC/Virginia area. A career federal employee with DOD, she met the love of her life in 1952, husband Leo Weber, who passed away in 1978. Leo was a widower who had 3 sons, Leo, Joe and Ed, who Jodi embraced as her own. Daughter, Rita completed the family.

Jodi was outgoing, sassy, fierce and a noted bad ass who could take any situation. She loved her Washington Commanders (nee Redskins) and later the Washington Nationals, along with her NASCAR favorites, especially any team Joe Gibbs was involved with. As a season ticket

holder with The Kennedy Center, she enjoyed musicals and plays for many years.

Her many friends enjoyed her passion (sometimes opinionated!), loyalty and caring nature. She inspired many by her unwavering kindness. She was the first person to always offer anything anyone might need in any time of concern.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Leo, her sons Leo, Joe and Ed and her son in law, Mike; survived by her daughter, Rita and her

grandson, Shane and his family as well as close family members, nieces and nephews.

Jodi would be honored to have donations sent to your favorite charity in the spirit of giving to those who need help.
