Joyce Antill, age 89, passed away at her home in Warner, Ohio with family by her side.
Joyce was born May 13, 1934 in Belhaven, North Carolina to Walter and Kathern Russ.
Joyce met the love of her life, Wilbert Antill, at 16 while he was stationed at Cherry Point Marine Base in North Carolina. The married in 1951 and had 72 years of wedded bliss; a great example of love to those who knew them. She was a faithful Christian and a member of Barnett Ridge and Lower Paw Paw Church of Christ.
Joyce leaves behind her husband; six children Linda (Rod) Phillis of Beverly, Ella Shaw, Teresa (Fred) Muntz of Marietta, Virginia (Steve) Reed of Waterford, Sid Antill of the home and Clarence Antill of Texas; Joyce had several grand, great grand, great-great grand and great-great-great grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister Sandy (Lindsey) Davenport; two sisters-in-law Bonnie Hill and Jean Antill.
The family would like to thank Amedisys Hospice nurses and aides. A special thanks to Jean Gibson, Sarah Staats McAtee, Renea Ball and Amie Murphy for their wonderful care and support for the family.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 6th from 5 to 8 PM at Roberts Funeral Home, 27880 State Route 7, Marietta, OH 45750. Funeral service will be Wednesday at 11 AM at the funeral home with John Wells officiating. Burial will be at East Lawn Memorial Park. Online tributes may be made at www.robertsfuneralhome.com. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Salem Volunteer Fire Department.
