Joyce Hall Ashworth, 82, of Brevard, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, August 27, 2025. Joyce was a gifted pianist, and she shared her gifts as a church pianist at Carr's Hill Baptist Church for many years. Her dedication to the Lord was evident in every note she played.

She will be remembered for her kindness, her faithfulness, and her loving heart. Her greatest joy was her family, spending summers with her grandchildren, and traveling with her husband after they retired. She was preceded in death by her parents, Clinton and Willa Mae Hall; her son, Ronnie Ashworth; her grandson, Brandon Whitmire; her brother, Joe, and his wife, Paula Hall; her sister, Shirley Smith, and her brother-in-law, Crawford Lowe.

She is survived by her loving husband of 63 years, James, by her two daughters, Sandy (Vaughn) Whitmire and Cheryl (Michael) Childers, her grandchildren Wes (Michaela) Childers, Megan (Tim) Smith, and Spencer (Ashley) Childers, 4 great grandchildren, Jaxton, Kayson, Willa, and Lainey, and her sister Jeanette Lowe.

A graveside service will be held at Gillespie Cemetery on Saturday, September 13, 2025, at 11:00 AM. Mountain View Cremation & Funeral Care has the honor of serving the family.
