Joyce Bagley

Joyce Elliott Bagley, 72, of Cartersville, passed away peacefully with her daughter and great niece by her side on Monday, September 2, 2024, at Piedmont Cartersville Medical Center.
Born on November 26, 1951, in Cartersville; she was the daughter of the late John Buford Elliott and the late Bessie Pearl Evans Elliott. She was also preceded in death by her beloved husband of 53 years, Harvey John Bagley; her brother, James Elliott; and her sister, Sadie Elliott. Joyce was a member of Central Baptist Church; she loved animals, singing and shopping. She was very fashionable and you always saw her dressed and made up. Joyce was also a great cook. Of all the things she will be remembered for however, it will be how much she loved her family and loved Her Lord.
Survivors include her adoring daughter, Laura Peace (Simon); grandsons, Joshua Gabriel Peace, Jacob Christopher Peace, and Justin Alexander Peace who were the light of her life; her niece who she adored, Cathy Knox, and her great niece who was so special to her and her namesake, Joy Hight (Chuck); Bre and Abby Hale who she thought of as her grandchildren; her BFF Gail King; and many other extended family members.
A funeral service to celebrate Joyce's life will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, September 8, 2024, in the chapel of Parnick Jennings Funeral Home with Pastor Phil Wade and Joy Hight officiating. A burial will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends for a time of visitation from 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 7, 2024, at the funeral home.
Serving as pallbearers will be Simon Peace, Jacob Peace, Justin Peace, JeremyPeace, James Pate, and Charles Hight. Honorary Pallbearers will be Joshua Peace, and David Sanders.
