Joyce Blassingame Obituary
She was preceded in death by her parents, Augustus Charles Clark and Jessie Mae Clark; husband, Jimmy Blassingame; brother, Robert Clark; and sister, Margie Hackney.
She was a member of Varnell Baptist Church. Joyce loved her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren deeply.
She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Todd and Lisa Blassingame of Dalton; daughter and son-in-law, Denise and Royce Chance of Dalton; brother-in-law, Winfred Hackney of Dalton; grandchildren, Cody, Gracie, Christian, Eric (Jessica), and Olivia (Cody); great grandchildren, Caroline, Coleson, and Harrison; and nephew, Chris Clark.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday, January 20, 2026, from 12:00pm until the service time at 2:00 pm.
The funeral will be held Tuesday, January 20, 2026, at 2:00 pm in the Pleasant Grove Chapel of Julian Peeples Funeral Home with Rev. Bret Bellamy and Ronnie Kyle officiating.
Burial will follow in the Varnell Cemetery.
Flowers will be accepted or the family asks that donations be made to the Varnell Baptist Church Playground Fund in Joyce's honor.
