Funeral services for Joyce Ann Brannock, age 79 of Ashland, will be held on Wednesday April 2, 2025 at 2:00 P.M. at Benefield Funeral Home in Ashland with Bro. John Luckie officiating. Burial will follow in the Clay County Memory Gardens.
Mrs. Brannock passed away on Saturday, March 29, 2025 at East Alabama Medical Center. She was a native and lifelong resident of Clay County, had worked for several years with Southland Manufacturing as an inspector, loved her cats and enjoyed working in her yard and tending to her flowers. Back in the day she loved to go dancing with her late husband Therrell.
She is survived by one son; Danny Yates (Jodi) of Lineville, two step-daughters; Jana Gunter (Dwayne) and Julie Poe (Ryan), two step-sons; Joey Brannock (Alisa) and Jamie Brannock (Rachel) all of Ashland, one grandson; Garrett Yates of Centre, plus two sisters; Mary Humphries (Harold) of Mellow Valley, and Shelia Harbon of Ashland, plus a large extended family.
She was preceded in death by her parents; L. B. Denney and Angie Wheeles Denney; her husband, Therrell Brannock, and one brother Douglas Denney.
Pallbearers will be Tim Wolfe, Greg Denney, Joey Brannock, and Wesley Spivey.
The family will receive friends at Benefield Funeral Home in Ashland on Tuesday April 1, 2025 from 5:30 to 7:30 and until service time on Wednesday.
