Joyce A. Campbell

Joyce A. Campbell, age 79 of Lapeer, MI passed away January 11, 2026. Funeral service will be held 2:00 PM, Tuesday, January 27, 2026, at The New Dawn Chapel at Dawn Memorial Cemetery, 1569 S. Elba Rd., Lapeer, MI 48446. Family will receive visitors Monday, January 26, 2026 from 12:00-6:00 PM and Tuesday from 12:00 PM until time of service at The Dawn Chapel. Burial in Dawn Memorial Cemetery. Pastor Sarah LaRose Nettell officiating. Joyce was joined in marriage to Cecil Ervin Campell December 29, 1967, and he preceded her in death March 10, 2024. Joyce was a 4-H leader in Oakland and Lapeer County for 45 years, as a dog leader. She coached Lapeer East Equestrian Team, and drove equipment for the Lapeer East Band to their competitions. Joyce was a very involved woman that loved to stay busy with animals. She was Co-Superintendent for Open Division Poultry, a member of Michigan Miniature Horses Association, advisor in the 4H Service Club, a founding member of Eastern Michigan Arabian Horse Association membership #16, an active parent with the 4H horse and rabbits club and love her German Shepard dogs. She personally loved earth tones and had many, many windchimes. Joyce is survived by sons David and significant other Thomas Helzer, Christopher (Catherine ) Campbell, adopted daughters Jamie Moss and Sheila Goltry, grandchildren Ryan, Curtis and Justin.
