CORINNA- Joyce Irenia Hemenway Carr was born August 25th, 1933, to Almon Clyde and Aletha Haseltine Hemenway of Ripley, passed to become another angel on July 18th, 2025. Joyce married Dennis L. Carr on January 1st, 1953. She was predeceased by Dennis L. on October 30th, 2006. Joyce and Dennis spent most of their married lives in Corinna. Joyce spent her working years doing secretarial work at Fay Scott, Snowflake Canning, Dexter Shoe Company, and the Corinna Insurance Company. Joyce is survived by her 4 children, Dennis M. Carr and wife Melinda of Corinna, Nannette DeBoe and husband Sam of Indiana, Cynthia Blodgett and husband Christopher of Waterville, and Lori Lee Langley and husband Gorden of Corinna. Grandchildren; Jennifer Cloutier and husband Armand, Christopher and wife Kimberly, Amy Luce, Kenneth Luce, Sarah Ward and husband Ryan, Scott Olmsted and wife Linda, Corey Harvey and Jason Langley. Joyce is also survived by 15 great grandchildren, and sister Iris Haskins of Dover-Foxcroft. Besides her husband Dennis, Joyce was preceded in death by her daughter Lynn Marie, grandson Spencer Luce and sister Priscilla Adams. A celebration of life will be held in her memory at the Corinna United Methodist Church on Saturday, July 26th from 2-4pm. A private family burial will be held at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Dexter, Maine. Where she will be buried alongside her husband Dennis and her daughter Lynn. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Joyce's memory to the Corinna United Methodist Church or the American Cancer Society.
