Joyce A. Carruthers
Easley, SC
Mrs. Joyce Ann Fellows Carruthers, wife of the late Gail Howard Carruthers, passed away Friday, May 26, 2023.
Born on April 23, 1942, in Parma Ohio, she was a daughter of the late Robert and Mary Helen Peters Fellows. Joyce attended Bethesda United Methodist Church, and was active in the women's circle, and sang in the church choir. She loved to garden, and was a member of the Powdersville Garden Club for many years. She loved crafts, especially making cards, and loved to read. She retired from Greenville Health System, working as a Medical Laboratory Technologist.
Joyce is survived by her son, Gary Carruthers (Lori) of Benton, LA and her daughter, Janine Carruthers of Piedmont, SC; Sisters Patricia Toth (Al) of Las Vegas, NV; and Janice Ammann (Artie) of Estero, FL; and Grandchildren, Brian Rogers, Sarah Carruthers, Kimberly Hunter (Andrew), and Daniel Carruthers.
In addition to her husband, and parents, Joyce is preceded in death by a sister Judy Browning.
A Memorial Service in honor of Joyce will be held at Bethesda United Methodist Church, 516 Piedmont Rd., Easley, SC 29642 on Saturday, June 24, 2023 at 11:00 am with visitation to follow.
Donations may be made to Bethesda United Methodist Church, or Piedmont Emergency Relief Center (PERC).

Joyce was my mentor at the Hospital and friend for many years. I treasure good memories with her and will look forward to seeing her again one day. Please accept my condolences and prayers for your Family.
